Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, NV Galleries

Photos by my friend, Frank Vlamings, another "Senior Citizen Photographer." : Las Vegas, NV is surrounded by small mountains on three sides. The Red Rock Canyon is part of those. This photogenic area is only 10 miles from Las Vegas, where my friend, Frank, resides in a suburb thereof. These pictures were taken late afternoon on Jan 13, 2007, a very chilly (28 degree F.) but otherwise beautiful day. He was using one of the lenses I also own, A Tokina 24-200 mm zoom mounted on his new Nikon D-200. I have posted these on my Website since I was so impressed with them and thought others might enjoy seeing them also. Since Posting the first photos in early February 2007, Frank has gone back to take more pictures using two new lenses......a Sigma 50-500 mm and some with the ultra wide angle Tokina 12-24 mm lens. The results are impressive!
