Annual Rendezvous at the Turkeyfoot Island Club : The event began for some of us with a Friday evening dinner to meet and greet Gail and Bill Turner. Gail is First Vice-President of ACBS who will become our President at the International Annual Meeting at Muskoka Lake, ONT., Canada in mid-September. On Saturday, more of us, including the Turner's, had a nice cookout at the Turkeyfoot Island Club. NCO had gotten special permission from the Manager of the State Park for our boats to do a "little speeding" for about an hour beginning at 2 P,M, so that I could do a photoshoot for them. I used my D700 with the 70-200 mm f/2.8 VR lens mounted on it. The camera was set at ISO 800, shutter priority at 1/1000th sec. and the f-stops averaged about +/- f10. Bud Long's pontoon boat made a very stable pnoto platform for me, while his wife, Ginger, drove their 17 ft. Chris-Craft Ski Boat for the photos.
